Billing & plansUpgrade your plan

Upgrade your plan

Move from Free to Pro or Growth, with what to click, what changes immediately, and how proration works.

Plans are billed per store, so you can run different stores on different plans. You upgrade, switch, or downgrade any time from Settings → Billing. For the full feature and limit comparison, see Plans & limits.

1. Upgrade from Free to a paid plan

Only the account owner can do this. Billing sits with the account that owns the store, not with store permissions. A Manager has no Settings → Billing entry in their menu. It is not shown to them, and no permission checkbox adds it. If you cannot see Billing, you are not the account owner of this store. See Team and permissions.

  1. Go to Settings → Billing.
  2. Click Upgrade on the plan you want (Pro or Growth).
  3. You're taken to a secure Stripe checkout to enter payment details.
  4. After payment you're returned to the dashboard and your store's plan badge updates right away.

The Settings → Billing page showing the current plan card with Change plan and Cancel plan controls, the Usage this cycle card (orders and AI credits used), billing history, and the link to Stripe's payment-method portal

2. Switch between paid plans

Already on Pro or Growth and want to change? From Settings → Billing, choose the other plan (e.g. Switch to Growth). This applies immediately, with no new checkout, and the price difference is prorated (see below).

What changes immediately

The moment your plan changes, the new limits apply: higher order caps, more sales channels and team members, more AI credits, and more storage. Your plan badge in Settings → Billing updates straight away. (Billing dates and quota counters finish syncing a few seconds later once your payment is confirmed.)

How proration works

When you switch plans mid-cycle, Stripe prorates the change automatically: you're credited for the unused time on your old plan and charged the difference for the new one. The adjustment shows up on your next invoice, and there's nothing to calculate or request manually.

Downgrade or cancel

These are two different things, and they behave differently. Both are account-owner only: a Manager cannot cancel or downgrade a plan.

Moving to a cheaper paid plan (Growth → Pro) takes effect immediately. Click Change plan, pick the lower tier, and the switch applies at once with a prorated credit for the unused time. There is no scheduled period and nothing to resume. To go back up, change plan again.

Cancelling to Free is the one that waits. Use Cancel plan; you keep your paid features until the end of the current billing period, then the store moves to Free. Until that date a Resume banner appears on Settings → Billing, and clicking it cancels the scheduled downgrade.

There is no "Switch to Free" option in the plan picker; it lists Pro, Growth and Enterprise only. Free is reached through Cancel plan.

Downgrading never deletes your data. If your catalog is above a lower plan's limit, your existing items stay; you just can't add new ones until you're back under the cap. See Plans & limits.

AI credits are the exception. Dropping to Free freezes your whole credit balance, including any packs you paid for. Nothing is deleted and it all comes back when you upgrade again, but you can't spend it while you're on Free.

Manage payment method and invoices

From Settings → Billing you can open the billing portal to update your card and download past invoices.
