Plans & limits

What each plan includes, the exact limits, and what happens when you reach one.

Every store is on a plan, and each plan sets how much you can do: products, orders, sales channels, team members, AI credits, and storage. This page lists the real numbers and explains exactly what happens when you reach a limit. To change plans, see Upgrade your plan.

On the Free plan, AI credits are also capped at 5 per day (whichever runs out first applies). Paid plans have no daily cap, only the monthly allowance.

Warehouses are not switched on for stores yet. The numbers in that row are the caps we will apply when multi-warehouse stock ships. There is no Warehouses page in the dashboard on any plan today, so upgrading does not give you a second warehouse. Every store runs on one stock number per product or variant. See what Brainerce does not support.

Sales channels vs. stores. A sales channel is a connected storefront (for example, a vibe-coded site) that sells from one store. Each store is billed separately on its own plan, so you can run a Free store and a paid store side by side.

What happens when you hit a limit

LimitWhat happens
ProductsYou can't add or import more products. Existing products stay; upgrade to add more.
Orders (Free)A hard stop. New checkouts are blocked once you reach 10 orders this cycle, until the cycle resets or you upgrade.
Orders (Pro / Growth)No interruption. Orders above your cap are billed as overage ($0.30 each on Pro, $0.20 on Growth) on your next invoice.
AI creditsAI features pause until your allowance resets, or, on a paid plan, until you buy more credits.
Team / channelsYou can't add new members or channels until you upgrade or remove some.
StorageNew uploads are blocked once you're full; remove files or upgrade for more space.

Imported orders do not count against your order allowance. Orders brought in by the Migration Tool from Shopify or WooCommerce are a record of sales you already made and were already paid for somewhere else, so they do not use up your monthly orders and they cannot trigger the Free-plan hard stop. Only orders placed through your Brainerce store count. Cancelled and refunded orders do not count either. Note that imported products are different: they do fill your product slots, because they become live products you can sell.

You'll see a banner in the dashboard as you approach your order cap, so a hard stop never comes as a surprise. The same banner appears if a payment fails and the store is paused.

Everyone on the team sees the banner, but only the account owner gets a button on it. If you are a Manager, Staff or Viewer, the banner tells you what has happened and says to ask the account owner. There is no Upgrade or Update payment button for you, because changing the plan or the card is account-owner-only and the link would only be refused. That is deliberate, not a broken banner. Pass it to whoever owns the account; if that is unclear, see who can change the plan or the card.

When limits reset

  • Free plan. AI credits reset daily (at 00:00 UTC) and monthly on the 1st; order count resets monthly.
  • Paid plans. Your monthly order allowance refills on the same day-of-month you started, including on annual plans (an annual subscription still gets a monthly allowance; it just bills once a year). AI credits on Pro and Growth do not reset: each month's grant is added to your balance and unused credits roll over.

Deleting a store does not reset your order count

If you delete a Free store and create a new one in the same month, the new store does not start again at 0 of 10 orders. The orders you already took that month follow your account, so the new store opens with them already counted. This is deliberate: the Free allowance is 10 orders a month, not 10 orders per store you happen to create.

Two details worth knowing:

  • Only the same month counts. A store you deleted in an earlier month contributes nothing. On the 1st of the month the count starts at 0 again, as it always did.
  • If the store you deleted was on a paid plan, its orders for that month can count against a new Free store, because deleting a store cancels its subscription and the store then drops to Free. If you had 200 orders on Pro this month and then open a Free store, that Free store can already be over its 10 and will not take orders until the 1st. Upgrading the new store lifts it straight away.

Deleting a store is covered in Suspending or deleting your store.

How many stores you can create

There is a cap on how many stores one account can create in a rolling 30 day period, separate from how many stores you are allowed to have open at once. On the standard setup that cap is 5 stores per 30 days, which leaves room to set a store up, throw it away and start over more than once. Currency and country are fixed when a store is created, so this is the usual reason people start over.

If you hit it you will see a message saying you have created too many stores recently. That is not a permanent block and it is not a billing problem. Email [email protected] and we can raise the cap for your account, or open the store for you.

Downgrading

Moving to a lower plan never deletes anything. If you're above the new plan's limit (say, 40 products on a plan that allows 20), your existing items stay put; you just can't add new ones until you're back under the cap or upgrade again.

One thing does become unavailable: dropping to Free freezes your AI credit balance, purchased packs included. The credits are still yours and return the moment you upgrade, but they can't be spent on Free.
