Customers

View customer profiles and purchase history, email campaigns, contact inquiries, loyalty and rewards, and the storefront chat bot, all in one place.

Every customer who places an order or signs up on your storefront gets a profile in Brainerce. The Customers section gives you a full view of who they are and what they've bought, and the tools to write to them.

In the sidebar, Customers opens the customer list and has four pages under it: Campaigns, Loyalty, Inquiries and Storefront Bot.

What's in a customer profile

  • Contact details: name, email, phone, and billing/shipping addresses.
  • Order history: every order, its status, and total spend.
  • Lifetime value: total revenue attributed to this customer.
  • Tags: labels for segmentation (vip, wholesale, at-risk).

Email campaigns and automatic emails

Customers → Campaigns is where you send a one-off marketing email to a group of customers now or at a scheduled time, see what each campaign brought in, and switch on the emails that send themselves (welcome email, post purchase follow-up, abandoned cart recovery and the newsletter signup benefit). Only customers who agreed to marketing email are ever mailed. See Email campaigns and Automatic welcome and follow-up emails.

Storefront bot

Customers → Storefront Bot is an AI chat assistant on your storefront that answers shopper questions from your catalog and your own notes, and hands the shopper to you when it can't help. It is a module you can switch off. See Storefront bot.

Contact inquiries

Customers who submit a contact form on your storefront appear under Customers → Inquiries. Each inquiry shows the message, the customer's email, and the date. You can mark inquiries as resolved and reply directly from the dashboard.

Newsletter signup

If your storefront has a newsletter popup or an email box in the footer, those addresses land here too, marked Not subscribed until the person clicks the confirmation email Brainerce sends them. See Newsletter signup.

A contact form named "Newsletter" is a different thing: it files a message under Inquiries and never creates a subscriber.

Saved items (wishlist)

A storefront with wishlist hearts adds a Saved items column to the customer list and a Saved items card in the customer's window, and a Saved by column to Products. They count signed in customers only: a guest saves in their own browser and is never counted. There is no wishlist page, no setting, no share link and no price drop email. See Wishlist and saved items.

Loyalty & Rewards

Customers → Loyalty is Brainerce's built-in points program: customers earn points on every storefront purchase and redeem them for discounts, with VIP tiers, engagement bonuses, a referral program, and automatic birthday gifts on top.

Orders you create by hand in the dashboard (Create Order) earn points only when you tick Award loyalty points for this order, which appears once your loyalty program is Active and you have typed the customer's email. For any other order, use a manual points adjustment on the customer. See the Loyalty & Rewards guide.
