Inventory
Track stock levels, make adjustments, and set low-stock alerts for every product variant.
Brainerce tracks inventory at the variant level: each SKU has its own stock count. Changes made in the dashboard are reflected immediately in the storefront.
What you can do here
- Adjust stock. Set the on-hand count for any product or variant, or switch tracking on and off.
- Low-stock alerts. Set a per-channel threshold and get an email before you run out.
Key concepts
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Available | What new customers can buy. |
| Reserved | Units held in open carts or unfulfilled orders. |
| Total | Available + Reserved. |
The storefront always uses Available to show in-stock / out-of-stock status.
Kits are the exception to all three. A kit keeps no count of its own. Its stock cell is blank and cannot be edited, and it sits outside the In stock / Low stock / Out of stock filters. How many you can sell is decided by whichever component runs out first, so you change a kit's availability by changing the stock of the products inside it. See Adjust stock.
